Im trying to make a Max for Live patch that observes the settings you make in an EQ 8 (on the same track), and changes the frequency of each pole each time you play a new note. Problem is my maths is failing me and I want to make sure I do this right. For example: The MIDI note is C-2. My first pole is set to 100hz My second pole is set to 200hz. When I move the note up to C-1 I want those frequencies to move up to the right spots, so they nail the same harmonics as they did when I hit C-2. What would the new frequencies be? I also want this to happen for every note in the octave. What kind of scaling should I be using here... is ^2 basically gonna cut it? Its just a little bit beyond me.
