Im turning into an old man, For Real. I just spent the last 15 minutes putting suspender buttons onto a pair of shorts (!) for my fancy suspenders. Or, as they are called, braces. Due to my belly growing out and obliterating my actual waist, I have come to the point in my life where my waist area is one size sitting down and another standing up. Wearing a belt or anything dependent on holding the pants on in that area meant that I was either cutting my waist-belly sitting or having my pants fall off when I stand. Not a pleasant visual, I know. But suspender/braces fixes all that and a good reason why many old fat men wear them. to hold THEM on, I tried cheap spring clamps to no satisfaction, and only a bit more with the good clamps. I kept seeing these braces with buttons on the steampunk/wild west places, and didnt take me long to figure out that was probably the best, since stapling them on didnt seem to be a good option. Then, I found these hammer on buttons, ostensibly for replacement metal waist fastener buttons on blue jeans. Eureka (Bingo! Ive got it, thats it!)! Hammer something onto the clothing instead of sewing! Yes. I have the satisfaction of comfort when sitting OR standing. :)
