Im used to less-than-stellar customer service experiences, but the one I just had with #Expedia takes the cake. I carelessly made a reservation for 3 night instead of 1. This was my fault, which I realized immediately. I called Expedia, assuming they could help. The girl took all the information and was ready to correct the reservation and issue a partial refund, but told me that she was having a system problem and needed to put me on hold. I was probably on hold for a total of 20 minutes before her supervisor came on the line. He also tried to fix the reservation, but ran into the same error. He offered to call me back once the problem was resolved. At that point I had been on the line for 50 minutes. He called back about 10 minutes later, but immediately put me on hold. I was on hold for 20 minutes, thinking they had forgotten about me. He finally came back on the line and told me that the purchase was nonrefundable and there was nothing they could do. So, I was on hold for well over an hour and Im now stuck with a 3 night reservation instead of 1. To top it all off, despite the fact that I clicked the hotel reservation link after booking airline tickets through Expedia, they managed to get the night wrong... so none of the 3 nights that I have booked are the night I need. #Expedia definitely lost a customer with this.
