Im usually a very poetic person- I seem to have a way with words that has endeared me to a person or tow over the years. But, today I have found it somewhat difficult to quite find the right words to celebrate the champ, that was born this day. This champ came into my life, when he was a toddler of only twelve years old. Can you believe it? Back then, he had about one or two fine hairs growing on his chin. He would say to me, Sylvester, Just watch me. One of these days, Im gonna have a full forest on my chin. Ill be all hairy and grown, just like you :) Its been a good twelve years or so since, and true to his word, this young man has grown quite a forest on his chin :) To remind all of us that hes no small boy now, he neither shaves nor trim. He just combs, and occassionaly shines :) This day. I want to celebrate that young man. A legend. A man. A real man. Not because he taught me whatever elementary understanding of computer programming I have. Or because he provides to me, much intellectual stimulation when I need it most. No, not because of all that. I celebrate this young man, because, uhm, well, Im not sure why. Anyway, to my best friend- -- much more than a friend, a brother- Kabelo Ramongane. The one guy whose life, over the years, has been so central to my life and destiny I do not see how I could have ever made it without him.
