Im utterly fascinated by Chattanooga postcards, and am always on the lookout for rare or unusual ones. Leather postcards, like the one below, were fashionable from about 1900 to 1915. They could legally be sent through the United States Postal Service like a regular paper postcard. Of course, the same rules applied with this 1906 example, whereas one side was reserved for the address and the reverse for graphics and the senders message. Later, postal rules would evolve into the split message and address format, with the other side devoted to graphics or a photo.
