Im very confused by the trend that says everyone is visually beautiful. When it comes to visual beauty, I think some people are far more visually beautiful than others. I think Im not as visually beautiful as most people. I think I have some very visually attractive features, and I think I have some very good moments, but Im not visually beautiful. I dont think theres, necessarily, anything wrong with thinking, or saying, that someone is visually beautiful. Sometimes its okay, and sometimes its contextually or socially inappropriate. Too, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think false association is a significant problem. Attributing ± intelligence, ± leadership skill, ± talent, and so on. I also think that failing to see, acknowledge and explore someones inner self is a significant problem. Seeing someone as an object of beauty, and not recognizing their own qualities of intelligence, character, and so on, is an insult, and maybe an assault, to that persons dignity. It seems to me that redefining visually beauty as something other than ... well ... visual beauty ... is not the solution to false association and objectification. II think that skills that to thwart false association and objectification are the winning ticket.
