Im very grateful that my husband is now consistently around for holidays and just daily living in general. Though I was a proud Army wife and happily embraced the lifestyle/sacrifices that came with it, I must say that civilian life is MUCH EASIER! Now, when we go somewhere and Jon is not able to join because of school or work, the kids ask, Wheres Daddy? and get bummed when they find out he cant be there. Before, it was normal for him to miss out and the kids didnt really ask. I love that the norm has changed. Remembering those who are sacrificing that privilege for us.
