Im very moved to see this. We laid Rab to rest just over a year ago. He was a good comrade, staunch Socialist and internationalist. He had a particular love for Euskal Herria (The Basque Country), as do many of us here. Members of his family are over there now, they will scatter some of his ashes there, because part of his heart has always rested there. The writing below is in Euskadi. it roughly translates.... At 8pm tomorrow in the beautiful area of San Juan, in honour of our Belfast comrade who died last year, we have organized an evening of remembrance. His family have brought his ashes to Haizetzeko in the Basque country, a place he loved so much. This mural will be a pleasant surprise for his family. Everyone is welcome. I have a wee tear in my eye as I write this, such a moving gesture from our comrades in Euskal Herria. Im sorry I cant be there in person, but I will be there in spirit. Eskerrik asko adiskideak. Askatasuna beti!!!
