Im very pleased to announce that the illustrious label Leo Records will be releasing Radical Empathy: Nels Cline (Wilco, Nels Cline Singers and much more) on electric guitar and effects, Michael Wimberly (Charles Gayle, Bennington College and much more) on drums, Thollem Electric on effected piano, Hammond Organ (by Analog Outfitters) and analog keyboards with BearFoot FX. Itll be coming out in Feb./March of 2015. The title of this album Radical Empathy is the idea that in order to find truly sustainable resolution to conflict its necessary not just to yield and compromise but to find empathy which each others perspectives and suffering. I believe we musicians practice this regularly, often without our knowledge, but more and more as a practice and process of working/playing/being together. Thanks to Eli Crews for recording it, Nicholas Taplin for mixing and Myles Boisen for the mastering! There are some excerpts on the website here to wet your aural appetite. More to come in 2015! This will be my second release on Leo after Imaginary Images with Lukas Ligeti, which has just been released.
