Im very proud of my son! I know Jay is upset about his injury but he says hes okay. It was killing him to not be able to practice. He kept telling me on the way home, Im not mad. Im just disappointed I cant play and help my teammates. Hes going to put on his jersey tomorrow and cheer on his teammates. He said we still have two weeks of ball left, regionals and state. Its hard for any athlete to sit and watch. Its easy to say to deal with it and look on the bright side. But, true competitors want to compete. And its hard for me to watch my son not be able to play the game he loves and miss the most important games of his life to this point. I know he feels helpless but he understands it is something he has to accept. He loves each and every one of his Scissortails teammates. Again, Im proud of the way hes handling this situation. And as he said we have a state title to win.
