Im walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimers Association Walk to End Alzheimers®, Im committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support. My dad was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease at the age of 60. He will turn 65 this December, and we have seen probably the most significant decline over the past 6 months to a year. This is such a cruel disease, both to the person living with this disease, as well as the family caring for them. My family will be participating in the Eastern Shore Walk to End Alzheimers on Sept. 20, 2014! This is the first year that a walk has been held in our area & Im so excited to be able to participate. The walk will be held at the Fairhope Pier at 9am on Saturday, Sept 20th. Please consider making a donation through this link to help fund research to find a cure. Once on the site, in the “Donate to a Team” box, key Glasgow’s Hope, click on the team name, then click on “$ Donate to My Team”. If you are unable to make a donation, please pray for my dad & the millions of other people living with this disease, as well as their caregivers! Thank you! Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimers and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimers Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimers. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimers disease starts with you.
