Im watching a morning news show, round table discussion type .. they are at a summit where the economy and business growth is the topic .. they just listed the impediments to growth, here are a few .. of course health care, now when they say it they use that tone so that everyone thinks The ACA. But this meeting is about what they refer to as middle market businesses, that have accounted for 65% of the new jobs but only represent about 2-3% of the businesses in the country and whos revenues run between $10,000,000 and $1,000,000,000. So these are companies that should be offering a health insurance plan to their employees, these are NOT small companies. So the ACA and the government has NOTHING to do with the cost these companies are subject to for insurance plans it is 100% on the insurance industry and these companies ability to negotiate more favorable rates. Used to be companies this size offered health insurance with no cost to the employee at all. Taxes... yes the stated corporate tax rate is the highest, the actual taxes paid is less than it was when Ronald Reagan was in office. Loop holes rob our economy of BILLIONS every year. Billions that end up being added to the deficit. Regulations, so Keystone Pipeline can be built adding thousands and thousands of jobs .. seems to me fixing roads and bridges across the country would provide quite a few jobs as well without building something that could have long term negative implications. So disgusted with the bullshit that continues to flow.
