Im watching an episode of To Catch a Predator and thinking how hilarious it would be to have a parody show called To Catch a Poet where we invite poets to do readings at a cafe, and we sideline them into the green room and ask them, What do you have in the bag? and they mutter, poems. And we ask them, What did you think you were going to do here tonight? Did you think you were going to read poetry? Do you think theres an audience for that sort of stuff? That thered be people here, just quietly listening to you? What were you thinking?
