Im watching the documentary Who the #$_% is Jackson Pollock? And let me tell you something, i hate modern art in every sense. Because i think its the biggest realm of ego stroking within the art world, to say that a shape inside of another shape is called art or splattering paint on a canvas is genius is just ridiculous. Im not sure if many of you know this but there is a huge scam market in the art world and that is forgeries. It was said by an art historian that the reason modern art is the most forged section is because its the easiest to recreate. Thats why i hate modern art with a passion because as an artist, being able to create and the see the world differently by being able to take the 3 dimensional world we live in and recreate it on a 2D surface but still give it the depth of 3D and make it believable takes a born talent to do. Thats whats sets artists apart from someone else. Its a talent your born with and when you can take your talent to new heights where you can let your imagination run but still be able to create things other people cannot or find extremely difficult to thats when you know that your art is something unique and beautiful, because no non artist can recreate it.
