Im wating up for the Euro. Seeing the nam and gfs you have to think the euro may shift east a bit. The implications of this is that it would still be a pretty good snowstorm for coastal New Jersey New York City and especially for Long Island and Southern New England but the amounts would have to be cut back some. It would also imply that the back edge would have to be shaved. The other issue is that we are in the ultra short range and it is time to nowcast. There is much we still dont know in terms of banding and strength of precip etc etc. These things are never easy and there is that pit in a forecasters stomach that feels pretty pretty wide right now. But let us wait for the European model which will be out shortly.
