Im wondering why more non-Native conservationist / environmental agencies/organizations are not declaring or making statements of solidarity regarding the RCMP attack on fracking protesters at Elsipogtog. If the police action had occurred in a white community that was protesting fracking, they would have been screaming to high heaven about having been unjustly attacked. But, oh wait, that was just a bunch of Indians, wasnt it? Unfortunately, most of those with a settler mentality forget they are living on occupied land...and what happened at Elsipogtog isnt just about violations of treaty rights. Mark my words - what happened at Elsipogtog is coming your way...soon.
