Im working on my book today, and wanted to share why its a good idea to put the scale away...or at least to not weigh yourself every day! We often let the number on the scale dictate what kind of day well have. But, keep in mind, there are many factors that can go into daily weight fluctuations: • Hormonal fluctuations. • Lack of sleep • Hard training sessions and soreness will cause water retention • Increased carbohydrate intake. For every gram of carbs ingested, the body will hold up to 2 grams of water! This is normal and temporary. • Increased sodium intake • Stress • Overtraining • Inflammatory foods (milk, wheat, processed foods, etc) • Weight will be higher later in the day, after consuming meals • Adding muscle mass will result in an increase on the scale (of course)! Step away from the scale, and train hard, yall!!!
