Im working with a little boy who had been awful to his sister for years. After giving him plenty of opportunity to offload his frustrations about her (shes so annoying!) and beef up some quality contact with his busy parents, he took the challenge to go 21 days without being unkind to her. (The Rubber Band game I mentioned previously.) Not only is he not tormenting her--they are becoming real friends, and I cant tell you how touched I am when he tells me about their growing relationship--playing games, doing art together, teaching her things. Parents--take action if your kids bully each other! It hurts both of them, and can--with effort and care--be addressed.
