Im writing this post to see if anyone is able to help a certain little (ex racer) mare at all... I recently sold a mare to a lovely lady, unfortunately the mare has been returned as the lady has broken her leg (not the mares fault!) and since doing so has decided she no longer wants to continue with horses etc so I now have her with me. I owned this mare for 2 years prior to selling her and know her very well. However, as much as we love having her at home again with us she isnt getting anywhere near enough attention as she deserves and craves (hence selling her originally). This mare had a few little issues with being turned out... She doesnt deal with mares too kindly shes very bossy and can be quite aggressive. With geldings she is fine. She is currently so depressed on individual turnout Im really desperate for someone to just understand her and give her a FOREVER home. Shes 9 years old great to ride, very very light in the mouth. Shes has proven to find heavy traffic (constant buses) a bit overwhelming. When we sold her she hadnt faced quite so many buses so this was something we were unaware of. Is there anyone that would take on a horse like her thats genuine?? Im so scared that if I part with her again shes going to go from home to home after they have issues with other mares in field. Shes a 16hh chestnut mare who has SO much to give. Money isnt as important as a wonderful and permanent home. She is based in surrey and really does deserve another chance...
