Imagination Comes to Life plus an unforeseen Event Last night, I - TopicsExpress

Imagination Comes to Life plus an unforeseen Event Last night, I left the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) building at 10 pm. I was walking to the adjacent University Place where I parked my bicycle. There was some roadwork along the way to CAES this morning and so that is why I parked there. As I was about to walk under the not-so-busy railroad bridge, I said to myself: "Imagine if a long freight train (50+ wagons) were to pass by". Usually, the freight trains that pass are at maximum 20 wagons in length. Very rarely does a long train take this route. Just within a minute of me saying that, I heard a locomotive horn! It was as if the locomotive pilot heard me! All of a sudden, a three diesel unit led train with more than 50 wagons passed by! This is one of the few instances where I imagined something and it happened right away! When I got to my bike, I found that my back tire was flat; the inner tube had a hole. On the way to University Place, I must have biked over sharp objects that cut through the outer cover and the inner tube. Instead of calling a friend for a ride, I walked home with my bike. It took just an hour and so it is not a big deal.
