Imagine a birthday party for a 5-year old. There are crazy, screaming kiddies everywhere. One parent stands up and says OK kids, you can run around and scream and tear things up all you want! Then well give you cake and ice cream! And each one of you will get a huge present! And then you can do it all again! You can keep partying for as long as you want; youll never have to go home! Then another parents stands up and says OK kids, you need to simmer down a bit. No screaming or tearing things up. And if you dont behave yourselves, you wont get any cake or ice cream. Which parent are the kiddies going to like better? The first parent is a liberal (democrat) politician. The second parent is a conservative (republican) politician. The kiddies are American voters.
