Imagine for Caroline Thygesen Jørgensen, hope u like it dear :) I looked at my hand. It was shaking. Niall noticed as well. He laid his arms around me and pulled me closer to him. «dont worry caroline, theyre gonna love you. Everybody does» he kissed me on the cheek. I looked at the clock. Half past five. «ill have to go pick them up now. Sure you dont wanna come?» he looked at me. «i have to make sure the food is perfect. See you soon love.» I kissed him goodbye and he disappeared. I sat down, drank a glass of water and breathed. In, out. In out. «calm down, caroline» i whispered to my self. Me and my boyfriend niall had just moved in together. He had already met my parents because they live in town. Nialls family lives back in Ireland, but they were coming to stay for the weekend so we could get to know each other. I was so nervous. What if they didnt like me? I knew the family meant a lot to him. I took a last look at my outfit. I decided to go safe with a flowered dress. All mothers love girls in flower dresses, right? Cute and innocent. The clock was getting close to six, and i heard the keys in the door. I took a deep breath and put on my best smile. The door opened, and there they were. I had seen photos of them. Maura, the mother, chris, the stepfather, greg, the brother, denise, the sister-in-law, theo, the nephew and bob, the father. They all stopped and looked at me for a moment. Then maura took a step forward and hugged me. «caroline. Finally! Ive been looking forward to meeting you. Look at you. Wow, youre absoultely gourgeous darling.» i felt relieved. «maura. Ive been looking forward to meet you too. Ive heard a lot about you. Dont worry, only nice things.» then it all went on. «hi, im caroline,» «hi im ....» «nice to meet you» «you too». Niall hugged me. «you see? They already love you» he whispered to me. I smiled back. The first impression was that they did like me, yes. So far, so good. «well, lets sit down! You must be hungry. Ive made shepherds pie. Thats my speciality. Hope u like it.» i announced. Everybody sat down round the dinner table. «i like it,» niall said. «youre not counting. You love all kinds of food» i replied. We started talking and it was really cozy. They loved the food. «omg this is so good caroline. You HAVE to give me the recipe,» denise said. When we came to the dessert, i impressed even more. I liked cooking, yes, but baking was my real passion. I had made three cakes: daim icecake, devils food cake and rocky road brownies. «ohmygod, this is like so much chocolate, even for me,» niall said. Everybody looked surprised at him. «are you sick?» bobby asked. «calm down folks. Just almost too much.» everybody pretended to breathe relieved. Both maura and denise asked for the recipes to the cakes. Even theo liked it. «moma,» he said. «i like this. I like caroline,» «aww thanks buddy,» i replied. I felt so happy. This was going even better than expected. As the clock reached ten, everybody were in bed, except me and niall. We were relaxing on the sofa with our favourite movie, «yes man». We always laughed so hard that we ended up rolling on the floor by the cat-scene. «darling,» niall looked down at me. I leant towards him, so close that i was just a centimetre from his lips. «yes?» i asked. «caroline thygesen jørgensen. Now as i see that youve been confirmed by my family, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?» i didnt answer, i just kissed him. Slowly. I pulled back and looked at him. «what. Dont you want to?» he asked worried. I raised one eyebrow. «what do you think dummy? Of course,» i answered and kissed him again. -IngridHoran
