Imagine going to a restaurant, say Outback Steakhouse. You look at the menu, see an item you want but no pricing. You ask the waiter/waitress how much for the large prime rib and she replies that it depends on your income. Price has nothing to do with what I need or want, but is only based on what I earn, with EARN being the key word. I am then told that others in the restaurant want the large prime rib also, but they dont EARN as much as I do, therefor I pay more so I can subsidize their meal. In this scenario, the restaurant would collapse, go out of business, for you would have too many subsidized meal eaters and not enough earners. In looking at calculators for affordable healthcare act, this is what I am seeing......
