Imagine going to a restaurant, say Outback Steakhouse. You look at the menu, see an item you want but no pricing. You ask the waiter/waitress how much for the large prime rib and she replies that it depends on your income. Price has nothing to do with what I need or want, but is only based on what I earn, with EARN being the key word. I am then told that others in the restaurant want the large prime rib also, but they dont EARN as much as I do, therefor I pay more so I can subsidize their meal. In this scenario, the restaurant would collapse, go out of business, for you would have too many subsidized meal eaters and not enough earners.
