Imagine how Edo State economy would have looked like by now if since 2008 at least one billion naira was committed to developing agriculture... Food crops, cash crops, animal husbandry, fisheries and agro-factories... In comparison, one billion naira is the allegedly scandalous average cost of constructing a one kilometer of road in Edo state. That sum could rather provide 40 medium scale cassava farms and processing factories employing over 4000 people directly and indirectly. Feasibility study available. Can you imagine the thousands of jobs that we have lost and are losing? Stop accepting jobs as uniformed personnel or ticketing officials. Enough of adhockism! With due respect to your sensitivity, those employment are not jobs when compared to the sustainable jobs of being farmers, businesses owners, and manufacturers, creating your own wealth. Think. Act. Yes, government should invest in agricultural development, encourage and support youths, women and able men to participate. This is the future. Secure our future, o Comrade Governor! NEdo Ghaa Ma!
