Imagine me biting a colleague at work. I would be dismissed - TopicsExpress

Imagine me biting a colleague at work. I would be dismissed outrighly for gross misconduct. I would be reminded that my attitude is not acceptable. Imagine me biting the second and the third time. The court will simply put me in prison with all kinds of unprintable names labelled against me. I would be branded a a risk to public safety. Why would different rules apply for us and footballers? Is the football pitch not a place of work? That is why the recent ban on Luiz Suarez is just a pat on the back. For 4 months he would still collect salary from Liverpool FC for doing nothing. He never said he was sorry rather after biting another player he sat on the pitch holding his teeth implying that Chiellini hit his teeth with his arm. An attitude that can only be described as farcical. My little son confronted me this morning with the news that he will no longer support Liverpool because of Suarez. He told me that his behaviour is not acceptable on the pitch. Strangely, neither Uruguayan FA or Liverpool FC saw anything wrong with his actions. No public apology has been tendered up till now. Suarez himself has not admitted his guilt and plead for forgiveness. As long as he continues to plead his innocence without pleading for help he will continue to bite both opponents and colleagues. My advice for those who still feel sorry for Suarez for some strange reasons is to feel sorry for themselves. FIFA just made a fool of you and justice.
