Imagine my surprise, when researching my villages history, to find that a 375thFS/361stFG P-51D crashed here during the war. Imagine my further surprise to find that the pilot who bailed out was a reluctant poster boy and cine star - well, one of the Bottisham Four anyway. Bruce W Red Rowlett now has a page dedicated on the village website that Ive created. As clearly stated on the page, it is my hope that this record serves as a dedication to all those who served . . particularly those who never made it through the war.
