Imagine that I invite you to a high class buffet…fufu and soup, rice, chicken, banku and tilapia..all the amazing dishes you can imagine. Now imagine me getting a big bowl and taking a bit of the fufu, a bit of the soup, a bit of wakye, a bit of beans, a bit of banku, a bit of kooko and mixing it all up in the bowl till smoothly mixed. Then I set it before you to eat…would you? Remember all the individual dishes taste great! So mixing it together should taste greater…shouldn’t it? To each and every person, GOD has given a shepherd over his/her life. GOD has placed you in a particular church, under a particular Pastor, under a specific calling that is unique in its own way. All the dishes listed above are food and they have their unique tastes, but mixing them together not only gives a horrible taste but an assured stomach upset. Today you are in this church, tomorrow it’s the other. Today you are a ‘spiritual son/daughter’ of this Pastor, tomorrow its another…..and you wonder why your life is the way it is? How does a tree constantly moved from one soil to another be expected to grow? No church is perfect! If you have found a perfect church; the moment you stepped into it, the church lost it’s perfection, cuz you are not perfect. Decide to stick to one church that you may grow. It doesnt mean you shouldnt listen to other pastors. Of course at a buffet, you may be invited by a friend to taste her rice though you are eating pap…you taste, not eat! Deliver yourself from spiritual diarrhoea, abide and grow! 7Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. 8For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
