Imagine youre running an errand and someone randomly says, The sky is green! Puzzled, you look up and see that it is still blue, and shrug it off. Then you hear two more people say its green. So you ask them why theyre saying that and they reply its an article they half-read on a social network. As theyre shouting about the skys new color, people nearby gasp, look at their phones, read the article, and without looking up in the sky to see for themselves, immediately share on their own social networks. So you plead with them to stop spreading misinformation and causing undue panic and just literally look up. You convince 1 or 2 of the dozens to actually do it. They say Oh, looks Ive been had! and stumble away. Seconds later, they read a new article stating that gravity no longer exists, and the process starts all over again... Thats what I feel like when I see people sharing stuff without either using common sense or googling lol. Its like my own personal Twilight Zone of hell lol.
