Imagine yourself in this situation: You wake up from a dream - TopicsExpress

Imagine yourself in this situation: You wake up from a dream expecting to be in your bed. Your eyes crack open and you realize it is dark. You feel around yourself expecting the softness of your bedsheets, but you feel dust and debris on what seems to be a wood texture. Your hands gliding across the grimey floor you feel a solid object in your right hands path. You immediatley realize what it is by feeling it. At last! A flashlight! you fumble to turn it on, and with success the darkness has been broken with the vivid lines of light. You scan the room revealing the dark, broken and abandoned room. You managed to find the exit of the room (or is it an entrance?). You immediately hop up and realize you are left with only underwear on, no shoes. Every step you take is just as miserable as the last as you step on every sharp particle in your path. You peek around the corner of the door first looking left at a dead end, then to your right showing a long, dark, almost endless looking hallway. To your avail the light lightens up a long dirty red hallway rug, relieving your feet for a short few steps. As you start down the hallway the floor creaks underneath the carpet giving off a muffled, almost voice like sound telling you to turn back in a way. The walls are decayed, wallpaper curled, paint molded as you continue forward into the abyss. A sharp pain haults you as youve stubbed your toe into a weathered side table. You look down to find your toenail has cracked in two and bleeding. But all of your pain numbs as you feel a light breeze caress your face, and an exhaling sound after. You freeze in your tracks, not looking up, keeping your attention on your foot trying to resist the urge of seeing what stands before you. As vulnerable as you feel, you build up the courage to gradually look up. You are face to face with the dark hallway ahead of you. You look behind yourself only to reveal what you left behind. The hallway was vacant and silent. You catch your breath and heart as you lean up against the cold and brittle wall and smirk to yourself that everything is ok. You hear a loud crack noise. You stand and hug the wall with your back to it looking left and right down the hall. Another loud crack and you go crashing through the wall and through the floor into a room below... You wake up from a dream expecting to be in your bed. Your eyes crack open and you realize it is dark. You feel around yourself expecting the softness of your bedsheets... A soft exhale is heard in the dark, then a faint womans voice saying, Youre awake.
