Imelda kind of blues I went to the doctor cause I didnt feel well the devil cancer got you in his grip he said you better get rid of those cells or you might well be the next for whom will toll the bell So I went to the hospital and took a ticket to ride all the way down Medicine Lane and got stuck with the Imelda blues again I was being driven around on my high tech bed through endless halls and mysterious surgery rooms staring at the ceiling for an omen or a sign They emptied my bowels and turned me upside down they sampled my blood listened to my anxious lungs they even searched every room of my restless heart, but is alright cause I took a ticket to ride all the way down Medicine Lane and got stuck with the Imelda blues again I was being taken care of thats for sure by concerned wise man in white in green and in blue I was nursed by angels with gracious mothers faces and was thankfull for the faintest smile and surprised by so much warmth and grace in such a cold place but then, I took a ticket to ride all the way down Medicine Lane and got stuck with the Imelda Blues again But then it was my turn my moment suprême mon heure de vérité the medicine men would cut away those llttle bastards killers till the last cell standing Pure routine, no big deal so they said and yes after a long deep sleep I woke up alone in a room peacefull and blue with neon stars and a tranquillising zoom and again, I took a ticket to ride all the way down Medicine Lane and got stuck with the Imelda Blues again. But nature plays its tricks on unexpected moments and in mysterious ways and life, that dog from hell would teach me lesson and I started to asphyxiate it lasted for hours and in every second there was a day the wise men frowned and on the angels face there was no more trace of the faintest smile But I survived and well, I took a ticket to ride really down Medicine Lane and got stuck with the Imelda Blues again. And now that I am home again in my old crumbling barn in my quiet forest with my cat on my lap I quietly stare at the falling autumn leaves and get overwhelmed by the Imelda Blues again.
