Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as someone famous once - TopicsExpress

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as someone famous once said. Although my employment with Ride UK ended on less than brilliant terms, Im kinda flattered that they are still utilising some old ideas of mine in the print magazine some 5 years later. It only seemed like yesterday that a bunch of scousers were throwing paint over Jason phelan in an old carpark in Liverpool to create the cover of Ride UK issue 128 back in the summer of 2009. Filmer extraordinaire, Matty Lambert filmed a little behind-the-scenes video of the original shoot which you can see here: mpora/videos/fRncLgNfm Sick guy Joe Bailey for recreating the cover shot which was one of the challenges for Ride To Glory (another project which I helped to pioneer in that magazine). It definitely aint easy being on short trips having to shoot something photographically cover-worthy, especially when you have no idea that your team is even going to be on the cover, but Joe pulled this off well and Im happy that they acknowledged where it originally came from. Peace out.
