Immensely proud of the 150 girls of Yuva Sena Thane unit who took the initiative of planting 500 saplings in Owla Majiwada, Thane. It feels brilliant to see the plants grow to trees for the generations of today and tomorrow. 2 years ago, the Yuva Sena had planted 7000 trees across Mumbai and more so, distributed seeds for planting across the state. I attended an event of the Bhamla Foundation this evening to voice my views on the environment and interact with the youth of Bandra. It is necessary that we realize that today, we humans, are the catalysts of global climate change, and that is irreversible. The Earth is the only habitable planet we know of and theres no where to go. The key is to focus our sights on clean, green and renewable energy, sustainable growth and more importantly thereafter, to do our bit for the environment. I do my bit, may be very little and not known in the public sphere for the environment, but if we all do very little, we surely can make the change that will sustain generations to come on this beautiful Earth that we inhabit. I was joined by my friends Atul Kasbekar, Zayed Khan, Shaantanu Mukherjee, Kunal Ganjawala, Jackie Shroff ji and many more as we interacted with the youth there. Heres to the hope that at some point we do realize that as of now, the planet- our home is all we have, and that humanity will protect nature.
