#Immigration Im so angry right now. I dont normally go on rants but this is very upsetting. As I was watching the news today, I saw how Republican political leaders and religious conservatives were yelling bloody murder on the humanitarian crisis at the U.S./Mexico Border. Many conservatives are blaming President Obama for this crisis and want ALL illegal immigrants deported immediately, including the thousands of children trapped at the border. It angers me to the point of no return. All these religious hypocrites are calling for the expelling of these children who came here for a either a better life, security or to not grow up in a crime-ridden, impoverished and dangerous place. You call yourself Christ Followers, Bible obeying and/or Christian yet spit in the face of what the Bible says because it isnt convenient. So here, let me remind you: Book of Leviticus Ch 19: 33-34 “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners once. I am the Lord your God And lets not forget what Jesus did to those who had nothing: Book of Matthew Ch. 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. You so called Christians should be ashamed of yourselves! These are children ranging from babies and toddlers to teenagers! These are children with little hope! They were sent to this amazing country with hope for a better future, hope thats being crushed with the idiocy of the right wing, political jargon and others who have no heart. Lastly, President Ronald Reagan, the patron saint of the Republican Party, did something amazing - he gave amnesty to illegal immigrants! Illegal immigrants that had entered the country before January 1, 1982 were given the right to stay in America legally. With the signing of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, President Reagan gave over 3 million illegal immigrants legal status. Chew on that.
