Tech / M.C.A. / M.B.A.) Admission of foreign students into JNTUA exclusively shall be handled by DFAAM of the University. As such all correspondence should be addressed to the Director, FAAM, JNT University, Anantapur-515 002, INDIA. International students are advised not to apply to the college directly International students can start applying for Provisional Admission into UG or PG programs of the University from 17th April till June 30th of the year. Applications will be considered on a first-come-first- served basis After scrutiny of the applications for eligibility, the University will issue a Provisional Admission Letter for the purpose of obtaining a student VISA from Indian Consulate/Embassy that must be endorsed to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur and without which no admission can be made. After obtaining theStudentVisa endorsed to JawaharlalNehruTechnologicalUniversity, Anantapur the student must send a written confirmation of the acceptance of the course to the Director, FAAM, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, A.P, India. The student shall report to the Director, FAAM in person and produce original certificates and on payment of necessary fee they may obtain the Firm Letter of Admission. Eligibility for Admission to UG and PG Courses: The candidate must have the required qualifications as specified. For the International students graduating from Universities/Schools, the selection is based on the performance in the qualifying examination. Course Qualifications B. Tech 10+2 (K12) or an equivalent examination M. Tech. Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in relevant field MBA Any undergraduate degree MCA Any undergraduate degree with Mathematics as one of the Subjects. NOTE: Admission is based on the scores obtained in any of the tests namely IELTS/TOEFL/GMAT/ in addition to the existing rules of the JNTUA The ICCR sponsored foreign students are eligible for direct admission. General Information: English Coaching: For all the courses in the University, the medium of instruction is English. It is mandatory for the student to pass English Proficiency Test within one year from the date of admission into the University. Following students are exempted from English Proficiency Test: • Students from English speaking countries • Students who have passed the qualifying examination with English as medium of instruction (Certificate need to be enclosed). • Students who have passed ELICS course with minimum B+ grade. Financial Aid/Assistance: University doesnt have any provision for scholarships to International Students. However, the Government of India grants some scholarships under various schemes and students are advised to contact the nearest Indian Embassy for necessary information about them. They may also peruse the UNESCO Handbook for Study Abroad that lists some scholarships and the addresses to which applications should be mailed. They can also apply to the Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ISD Section), I.P Estate, New Delhi- 110 002, INDIA, for possible award of scholarship Part-time Employment: The University rules do not permit any international student to take up any job part-time or full-time, while being on rolls as a regular student. Detained students, however, can take up some part-time job to sustain their stay with the concurrent permission from the University and the Police Supdt. For continuing in the job, the student is not supposed to Continue studies. Indian Customs: Indian customs and practices are different form other countries in many respects and international students are expected to respect them. Academic Year: University academic year starts in June with the First-year classes commencing in August and ending in May. Examinations and Holidays: The semester examinations are held twice a year, for the odd-semester in November/December and for the even-semesters in March/April. Students have first-term holidays in October/November and summer vacations from May. A Step-by-Step Procedure: How to get Application form? The application form can be downloaded from the jntua.ac.in website. When to Apply? Filled-in applications with all enclosures must reach the DFAAM any time beginning from April 17th till June 30th of the year for Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Enclosures to the Applications: The following Certificates/Documents are to be enclosed to the application: Two attested copies of the marks sheet and certificate of 10+2 (K12) or an equivalent examination (certified translated version in English) (In case of admission into under graduate courses). Two attested copies of the Bachelor Degree marks sheet and certificate of the qualifying examination (certified translated version in English) (In case of admission into post graduate courses). Equivalence certificate regarding the course done by the candidate satisfying minimum eligibility criteria must be submitted along with the filled in application. TOEFL/GMAT /IELTS Score Certificate A copy of the syllabus/curriculum of their UG/PG Degree (certified translated version in English) Two copies of the passport of the student Note: Attestation of all the certificates shall be done by one of the following: a) Indian Embassy at the student’s country or b) Student’s country Mission in India or c) Ministry of Education in student’s country. To ensure speedy processing of applications candidates are instructed to send the asked-for information as a complete set. Decision on Admission: As soon as the processing of the applications is completed, candidates will be notified of their admission status and if they are found eligible then a Provisional Admission Letter will be issued from the University for the purpose of obtaining Student Visa, that must be endorsed to JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY ANANTAPUR only. However, in case of foreign students residing in India and taking EAMCET, PG Entrance Test or any other entrance tests conducted for the purpose, their admission is subject to their qualifying in the test and they will be informed of their admission after the Entrance results are announced. Tech / M.C.A. / M.B.A.) a) Registration fee is to be paid only once that is at the time of admission. b) Tuition fee is payable per annum. c) All UG/PG Students should pay additional fee of US$1000 (one Thousand dollars only) which includes the Development fee, caution deposit Library, Laboratory, syllabus books, Identity Card etc. This fee is to be paid only once at the time of admission. DD/Pay order will be drawn in favour of Principal, JNTUA CEA. d) Once fee paid will not be refunded under any Circumstances e) 30% concession in Tuition fee and 40% in Development fee for the students from SAARC countries. Note: • No Hostel Facility will be provided for candidates admitted in these programs in JNTUA, Ananthapuramu campus. However the University will facilitate the hostel facility outside the campus maintained by the Private Management. • If it is detected that a candidate has been admitted due to any mistake made inadvertently in the processing of Applications and during the admission stage, the University reserves the right to cancel the seat at any stage. • Admission will be closed within one month of the commencement of the first semester class work irrespective of the vacancies. • If any dispute concerning admissions in the courses of JNTUA arises, the jurisdiction shall remain with the courts in Ananthapuramu only and the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. • The University will not be responsible for postal delay/loss in transit.
