Important Desmond update: There is no easy way to say this: Desmonds second reading of the biopsy came back positive for cancer. We dont know yet what kind--either lymphoma or histiocytic. Both are fairly rare in cats, apparently. The good news is that right now he is happy and purring--eating, peeing, pooping, playing healthily. We wont know what kind of cancer until another test result comes back--hopefully in less than the 2 weeks it could take. Then we can formulate a treatment plan--I am told that it will involve both radiation and chemotherapy. I absolutely PROMISE you that for as long as Desmond is happy and has a chance for recovery we will use every treatment option available. In the meantime, we are continuing his meds and supplements for hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, arthritis, and immune system. And Desmond says THANK YOU to Aunt Barb who sent him an anti-cancer supplement that tastes delicious! Please take a moment to watch the video of Desmond playing--I took it just this evening.
