Important Economic Event: Germanys Manufacturing PMI (Nov) (Prelim) - 08:30 GMT, 20 November 2014 #German Manufacturing #PMI is expected to rise 0.1 to 51.5 in November’s preliminary reading, instilling further confidence in Europe’s largest economy. #Manufacturing PMI is a survey conducted on a monthly basis and is a leading indication of business activity in the German economy. A figure above 50 indicates industry expansion, and a figure below 50 indicates industry contraction. PMI is seen as a leading indication of manufacturing industry activity, and therefore economic health. Manufacturing PMI is of great importance for the German economy, because the manufacturing industry is more significant than the services industry for the country. November’s preliminary figure is expected to increase slightly from 51.4 to 51.5; strengthening investors’ confidence in the German economy, and the overall health of the Eurozone.
