Important Meeting this Thursday - Regarding Parking at Maple Beach ... This is the Advisory Committee that will make recommendations to Whatcom Count based on feedback from Point Roberts Owners. PRCAC Meeting: Tuesday, August 20th Community Center, 7 PM Agenda: 1. Public parking at Maple Beach 2. The proposal to erect five transmission towers at the corner of Tyee & McKenzie The latter issue is of utmost importance to the quality of life on Point Roberts. It has been debated extensively in emails among scores of residents in recent days. We will review the proposal, go over county procedures and work to arrive at a consensus which we will communicate to PDS, County Council and others involved in decision making. Everyone is welcome, from both sides of the border. The proposed radio station will also have an impact on Canadians living close to the border. All points of view are welcome.
