Important THEREFORES of New Testament (4) 2 Corinthians 3:18 - 4:2 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord... THEREFORE seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every mans conscience in the sight of God. A dear friend who recently moved to a foreign country made a very interesting observation after listening to an exhortation on godly behavior. He opined that in his new country of abode, everyone is so well cultured to behave decently and therefore a gospel of good behavior will make little or no impact there because they, like the Jews under the law, are cultured to outwardly do right. True Christianity is beyond just good and decent behavior by mans standards, as this kind of righteousness still falls short of Gods standards. Christ is Gods standard - He reflected Gods purity inwardly (in spirit) and accurately (in truth). He manifested the HOLINESS OF GOD which is an accurate obedience to Gods will and has become Gods template of righteousness for man. When we fix our gaze on knowing Christ - who is the righteous standard or righteousness of God, and we earnestly desire His life to be expressed through our life, what we shall manifest by the Holy Spirits help, is the exact holy purity of God in which ALL HIDDEN DISHONESTY AND IMPURITIES ARE RENOUNCED AND GODS WILL IS DONE- THIS IS THE THEREFORE THAT OCCURS IN OUR LIVES AS WE LOOK UNTO JESUS WHO IS GODS GLORY - WE ARE PURIFIED IN THOUGHTS, IMAGINATIONS AND AT HEART ACCORDING TO GODS WILL, TO OPERATE THE PURE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRISTS INNER MINDSET. WE LIVE ON EARTH LIKE THE ANGELS DO IN HEAVEN - THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN. Philippians 3:4-11 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high..
