You are an important part of the framework that defines our success, and we want to keep you informed about our operations. Our parent organization, Dignity Health, has entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., (UHS) for the acquisition of SMHP, enabling our health plan to join this well-respected health care organization. UHS is a national company committed to providing high-quality health care, engaging in strong physician partnerships and supporting healthy communities. UHS and its subsidiaries already operate in both the greater Reno and Las Vegas markets. Both parties will continue to work over the next several months to complete the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval prior to closing. While this news is important and meaningful, one thing is certain: We’ll continue to serve our members, providers and partners as we always have—with a commitment to exceptional quality and service excellence.
