Important announcement regarding the vaccine clinic at Bark in the Park: In order to comply with the Alabama Practice Act set forth by the ASBVME, we are unable to hold the long standing vaccine clinic at the event. Dr Ellison, who supports Shelby Humane in our mission also serves in the military and has drill the weekend of this event. As the only vet within her practice with a mobile license, we are unable to provide this service at the event. Shelby Humane Society understands the need in our community for subsidized vaccines and microchips and along with Calera Animal Hospital will offer an alternative. Visit our vaccine clinic table at Bark in the Park between 9 – 2. We will have staff available to complete the paperwork and accept payment. You will be provided the necessary form to visit Calera Animal Hospital, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 7:00pm to receive the services. We want to thank Dr Ellison for her service to our country and for her continued support of Shelby Humane’ s Community Outreach efforts. While this change requires a little more effort for pet owner’s we know there are pets in our community who rely on our services and hope that this “work around” will still provide those in need with an option to have their pets vaccinated.
