Important aradhanas during Jyeshta Masa (9th June to 8th July 2013) In Jyeshta masa, there are aradhanas of many great saints. Sripadarajaru who is considered an amsha of Dhruva, Raghuvarya theertharu who is the guru of Raguthama Theertharu and Shri Vijayeendra Theertharu who is the parama guru of Raghavendra Theertharu are a few notable stalwarts. Shri Satyabhinava theertharu, Satyapoorna theertharu and Satyadheera theertharu’s aradhanas also fall in Jyeshta masa. Shri Krishnadwaipayanaru’s aradhana is also in this month, whose brindavana is in Kusamurthy. Also coming in the line of Shri Raguthama Theertharu is Shri Satyadhiraja theertharu whose brindavan is in Vellore in Tamil Nadu. The full list of important aradhans along with the dates and the place of the brindavanas are listed below. Shri Shri 1008 Shri SatyaSandha Theertharu (Photo #1). Aradhana is on 10th June (Jyeshta Shuddha Dwitiya). Brindavana is in Mahishi, Karnataka. He is the 26th pontiff after Sri Madhwacharya and was given the peeta by Shri Satyabodha theertharu. It is said that at Pandharpur, Sri Vittala himself came as an old Brahmin to receive mudra from this great saint. He attained brindavan in the year 1716. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyabhinava Theertharu (Photo #2). Aradhana is on 22nd June (Jyeshta Shuddha Chaturdasi). Brindavana is in Nachiyar Koil, Tamil Nadu. He was the 21st pontiff of Uttaradi Math after Sri Madhwacharya. He attained brindavana in the year 1628. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Sripadaraja Theertharu (Photo #3). Aradhana is on 22nd June (Jyeshta Shuddha Chaturdasi). Brindavana is in Mulabagilu, Karnataka. He is an avatara of Dhruva maharaja. He was born in a place called Abbur where the brindavana of Brahmanya theertharu is there. Sripadarajaru was famous for the elaborate and rich thirtha prasada taken every day. Even while travelling in dry areas or forests, the situations would be such that pancha baksha paramanna was made available when he performed pooja. Even today it is a custom with many Madhwas to think about Shri Shripadarajaru during lunch time and it is believed that his smarane (thinking about Sripadarajaru) itself will give us a feast. In Mulabagilu, there is also the divine presence of Yoga Narasimha created (drawn) by Shri Vyasaraja Theertharu using an angara. The kalyani there is called Narasimha Theertha. While going to Tirupathi from Bangalore side, devotees make it a point to visit Mulabagilu. It is at a 2 hour drive from Bangalore on one end, and about 4 to 5 hours drive from Chennai on the Old Madras Road. Shri Sripadaraja’s contribution to dasa sahitya (songs) is immense and he wrote songs with the ankitha ‘Ranga Vittala’. He was also the vidya guru for Shri Vyasaraja Theertharu. He took sanyasashrama from Shri Vedavyasa Theertharu and Shri Vedanidhi Theertharu but didn’t ascend any peeta. His brindavana is in Kusamurthy, Karnataka. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyapoorna Theertharu (Photo #5). Aradhana is on 25th June (Jyeshta Krishna Dwitiya). Brindavana is in Kolpur, Andhra Pradesh. (Please note that this is not the same as Kolhapur which is in Maharashtra). He took ashrama from Satyabhinava theertharu. He was the 22nd in Uttaradi Math parampara after Sri Madhwacharya and attained brindavana in the year 1648. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Raghuvarya Theertharu (Photo #6). Aradhana is on 26th June (Jyeshta Krishna Tritiya). Brindavana is in Nava Brindavana near Hospet. He attained brindavana in the year 1479 and was the 13th in the Uttaradi Math parampara after Sri Madhwacharya. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyadheera Theertharu (Photo #7). Aradhana is on 1st July (Jyeshta Krishna Navami). Brindavana is in Atkur, Karnataka. He was the 36th pontiff of Uttaradi Math after Sri Madhwacharya. He attained brindavana in the year 1906. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyadhiraja Theertharu (Photo #8). Aradhana is on 4th July (Jyeshta Krishna Dwadasi). He belongs to the generation descending from the disciples of Shri Raghuthama Theertharu. Brindavana is in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Shri Shri 1008 Shri Vijayeendra Theertharu (Photo #9). Aradhana is on 6th July (Jyeshta Krishna Trayodasi). Brindavana is in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. Vijayeendra Theertharu is Paramaguru of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. Vijayeendra Theertharu was extremely popular during His time and was a master of all 64 arts apart from deep knowledge of our scriptures and has written more than 100 granthas.
