Important to hear this. It is one thing to ideologically challenge the misguidance of the militant-minded Muslims as a whole, but the actual work needs to be done at a community level on a one-on-one scale. It requires patience, empathy, proper understanding of Islam and a bit of having been there, done that to get the message across to these folks. This is especially easier with radicalized youth living in the West. But, it is exponentially harder to achieve for radicalized youth who live in the conflict zone and have lost e.g. family members.
