Impossible is Possible Faith is the substance of things hoped - TopicsExpress

Impossible is Possible Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Beloved! What is faith? How could a 100 year old man believe and wait for a son to be born? How could a young man in the prison hope and wait for a place in the palace? How could a once-prince lift his rod believing the Red Sea would part? How could a shepherd boy, lonely in the field, sing praises to God hoping he will become the king someday? These are just instances that do not stop amazing me. What drove these men of old to hope and wait for something that was beyond the usual? What or Who gave them the confidence that the impossible was possible? The secret these men possessed was Faith! The Bible says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:1,3). A famous singer sang, “God is dead, and no one cares. If there is a hell, I’ll see you there.” Even there are T- shirts with such words written on them. Several others in history said and sang the same. But now when we look back, all their lives ended in deep misery and loneliness. They are dead, but God Whom they wrongly thought was dead still continues to live and reign! The Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Abraham believed God and waited for a son at 100 years because he had faith in Him. He knew God was the author of Life and that He can put life even into His wife’s barren womb. Joseph could hope and wait for a place in the palace because he knew God was with him. Moses could lift his rod believing the Red Sea would part because He knew that even the wind and waves would obey God. Sitting all alone with his sheep in the field, David knew in his heart that it was nothing for the King of kings to make him a king. Dear Friend! Examine your heart. Is your heart filled with fear or faith? Sin is the source of fear and God is the source of faith. Only God can replace fear with faith. Humble and submit yourself to God and confess your sins and transgressions to Him. Then God will fill your heart with faith and bless you. Prayer: Loving Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. Father, forgive my unbelief in You. I thank You for reminding that Your words are full of power and life. Fill me with faith and make me strong in faith like the saints of the Bible. Help me to seek You diligently and let my faith please You. Bless me and make me a blessing to others. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Like
