Impossibly good looking men with piercing blue (or gray) eyes, ripped muscles, a company that they started from scratch and is now worth billions of dollars even though theyre not yet thirty, ingrained arrogance, sociopathic tendencies, and a controlling streak a mile wide is whats popular...in fiction at any rate. But that really doesnt do it for me. I arrived home after a couple of days away babysitting my granddaughter, and my shift worker husband had cleaned the entire house (bathrooms, floors, you name it) as well as done all the washing. While I was madly writing my next fanfic chapter, he went and filled up the car for me, as he knew I had to make another trip to the city. When I was still caught up writing, he brought home takeaway for a treat. None of these things are unusual, as hes always been incredibly kind, helpful around the house, and involved with the kids (now grandkids). Hes stuck by me through multiple major health scares, tells me he loves me everyday, is my biggest fan, and likes the fact I am a talker. Am I the only one that thinks that is incredibly hot? Weve been married thirty years, are both getting squidgy around the edges and spreading around the middle, but I cant get enough of him. Who needs an arrogant, mind-game playing billionaire who would probably trade a woman like me (not that hed have looked twice in the first place) in for a younger model when she started to age? (Sorry for the TMI for those that cringe at the thought of older folks still enjoying passionate relationships.)
