Impressionist Plein Air Painting Workshop At Weir Farm National Historic Site 3 - Places Left Dmitri Wright, the Master Artist / Instructor for Weir Farm National Historic Site, is offering academy level training in a 4-day Weekday Intensive Workshops in the American Impressionists’ en plein air foundations and tradition. Experience history of painting in the presence of the past, while discovering the nature of art, in nature. Explore learning the academy foundations and techniques used by the Impressionist masters through Dmitri’s “Preservation and Progress” teaching. Through applying the science and poetry – techniques and philosophy of the American Impressionist tradition, you will discover a freshness to your visual narrative while capturing this historic American landscape through living art en plein air at the Weir Farm National Historic Site. Location: Classes are held in the park’s Burlingham Barn and throughout the grounds. All weather conditions with minor exceptions.
