Improvised black bean soup....dry beans cooked a few hours with water, bay leaf and oregano. Throw in 4-5 tomatoes diced. Saute 2 onions with generous puddle of olive oil, add 4-6 garlic cloves, a spoonful of that ginger mush that comes in a jar, tbsp of cumin and a few very healthy shakes of coriander and celery seed. Cook for a long time,adding water if it gets dry. Combine with black beans and 1-2 cups chicken broth. Cook for awhile until you get too hungry to wait anymore. It is totally nummy.
