In 06 I was selected by Cabinet to be a Head of State Representative to the NUS Council in its new format after the merge of the old NUS and Samoa Polytech. My name was placed together with Tupua Wetzell, Mamea Dr. Emosi Puni and Lemalu Tate Simi. It was such an honor to be placed in the company of these men, together with Tupae have all served Samoa in their respective fields, and there I was coming from a small Catholic school that has since been closed. At the very first meeting, Lemalu came up and said, Chris, I do not know if you know this but even the smallest things like a smile, can make you a star in the eyes of many. RIP Lemalu!!! Alofa atu ia Tupae when you see him and then both of you look after me as another of Gods guardian angels.
