In 1 Kings 12 & 13 we see Jeroboam who didnt worship The Lord setting up imitation gods, an imitation altar, and imitation priests so that Israel would stay with him as king instead of going back to Solomons son, Rehoboam. In todays world, we see people who dont want Jesus as their king but they want a following, so they set up their idols of pride, and their altars where they perform their ungodly rituals, and even appoint their own priests and rewrite the Bible so that it makes them comfortable rather than convicted. Satan loves to imitate The Lord. He wants to be God and be worshipped. The Lord God does not change. and He does not change His Word depending on what millennium it is. Even those who profess to be a church but seek to preach a sugar coated message so that they can increase their numbers of those who want their ears tickled, conform to the world so they can fill their coffers and build their mansions, also try to imitate the things of God without actually knowing and worshiping Him. The Lord God is a Holy Jealous God. He will have no rivals. There is no God but the One True God in three persons, Father Yahweh , His Son Yeshua (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit! Yeshua (Jesus) paid the ultimate price for the sin for whoever will confess (to come into agreement) Him as Lord whom God raised from the dead and yet we humans think there is a better way. 2 Timothy 3:1-7, 1But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
