In 1 Samuel 3 we read “So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him - TopicsExpress

In 1 Samuel 3 we read “So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.” God did him honor. Having begun to favor him He carried on and crowned His own work in him. Whatever Samuel said as prophet, it proved true and was accomplished in its season! He grew very serviceable to his generation, his established commission from God and established reputation with the people gave him a great opportunity of shining as a light among the PEOPLE! Let us contrast this with our Lord’s use of speech in certain situations as a means of witness for the sake of the people. “And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” But HE kept silent and answered nothing.” “Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You! But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.” “This they said testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground, as though He did not hear.” A certain procedure aims at argumentative success without compromising spiritual fidelity, as was once written. :) It renders a reasoned account of the Christian’s hope but it is an inviting work, HE it is who determines “success,” thus FAITHFULNESS is ABOVE ALL!!! :) (y)
