In 1942, The Army Air Force Supply Depot was established on 200 acres of land, at Jackson and Farmville. More than 80,000 items were stored here for all flying operations during WWII. The pumper is a former Army Class 500, 500 gpm pump/150 gallon booster tank, Ford-Maxim. P-1737 is Ward LaFrance, Class 750A, WdLaFr Model CW 750, 750 gpm. pump 150 gallon booster tank. The crash truck is a Air Force Type O-10, American LaFrance, 300 gpm, 500 water, 50 gals protein foam and 20 gals Chlorobromomethane (CB). the CBM was for metal fires.
